Absence of security awareness in the Bangladesh Army Essays Absence of security awareness in the Bangladesh Army Essay Absence of security awareness in the Bangladesh Army Essay ABSENCE OF SECURITY AWARENESS AMONG THE SOLDIERS OF BANGLADESH ARMY- A MAJOR Menace TO THE ORGANIZATION Chapter I ââ¬â INTRODUCTION (RESEARCH PROPOSAL AND DESIGN ) Problem Statement 1.ââ¬Å"Security is the status achieved when designated information, stuff, forces, activities and installings are protected against espionage, sabotage, corruption and terrorist act, every bit good as against loss or unauthorised revelation. The term is besides applied to those steps necessary to accomplish this status and to the organisations responsible for those measuresâ⬠( Joint Services Glossary of Operational Footings, p. S-4 ) . ââ¬Å"Individual security consciousness is the cognition and attitude of the members of an organisation about the precaution of physical, material and information assets of that organisation. Awareness sing the hazards and available precautions is the first line of defense mechanism for the security of forces, information and stuff. The focal point of security consciousness should be to accomplish a long term displacement in the attitude of the members of the organisation towards security, whilst advancing a cultural and behavioral alteration within an organizationâ⬠( Wikipedia, n.d ) . 2.The inordinate usage of cell phones, posting sensitive images on the Facebook, go forthing official paperss unattended by the soldiers etc. have become a regular phenomenon. It is go oning as a usual affair. Thereby, military forces are jeopardizing themselves every bit good as the organisation is besides being affected. Many soldiers are transgressing security unwittingly due to miss of equal cognition on security. The existent fact is that, they truly do non believe that it can impact their personal every bit good as organisational security. An organisation can merely be protected when its forces are good protected and witting about their personal security. Therefore, single security consciousness plays a critical function to guarantee overall organisational security. This paper will critically analyze whether absence of security consciousness among soldiers a major menace to Bangladesh Army or non. 3.The issue at manus is a complicated and intangible component. While it is perceived that absence of single security consciousness of the soldiers impacting the overall security of the organisation, the other factors are besides perchance knotted together in changing degree straight or indirectly. It besides mentioned that deficiency of employee consciousness has greatest impact on security of nomadic informations. B.Australian National Audit Office( 2009-10 ) in their audit study mentioned that security incidents can supply valuable penetrations into an organizationââ¬â¢s security environment, including the degree of security consciousness. Common types of security incidents like loss of personal or official resources, unauthorised entree to an organizationââ¬â¢s premises, wrong storage of security classified information, via media of entree control etc. may be the declarative of security consciousness issues. It is besides mentioned that defects in security consciousness and preparation can sabotage the operation of the controls and patterns put in topographic point to pull off exposures to security hazards. degree Celsiuss. The Global Conference for Wikimedia on Security Awarenessheld at London has mentioned security consciousness is the cognition and attitude members of an organisation possess sing the protection of the physical and specially information assets of that organisation. Many organisations require formal security consciousness preparation for all workers when they join the organisation and sporadically thenceforth, normally yearly. vitamin D.Major Md Ferdous Iqbal( 2012 ) in his research discussed about the psychological motive of the soldiers needs to be addressed with immediate precedence for the sweetening of professionalism among the soldiers of Bangladesh Army. He besides mentioned about development of sense of duty among the JCOs / NCOs need particular attending by the appropriate authorization. vitamin E.Major Md Humayun Kabir( 2010 ) highlighted that the psychological conditioning is indispensable to insulate the members of armed forces from being infected with societal desires and outlooks which are incompatible with military life. Hence pre-cautionary steps and counterpoisons are necessary to countervail the effects of inauspicious societal influences. degree Fahrenheit.Robert Mcpherson and Bennett Pafford( 1999 ) in the Safety and Security Handbook for CARE Internationalââ¬â¢s staff mentioned that each member of an organisation has a responsibility to turn to issues of safety and security proactively and flexibly at all clip. g.Squadron Leader Md Obaidulla( 2004 ) in his research paper mentioned that information in warfare should be recognized as a military and national plus. The undertaking of puting up a well-conceived construction for contending a high-tech war demands to be handled professionally. 11.Areas for Further Research. There are figure of books, booklets, literatures have published and a good figure of researches have been carried out on organisational and national security facet. So far no research has been carried out on absence of security consciousness among soldiers of Bangladesh Army which in fact is impacting the overall security of the organisation to a great extent. In the 21stcentury as a member of Bangladesh Army a soldier must be cognizant of single security in order to guarantee personal every bit good as organisational security. In visible radiation of above in this research an enterprise will be made to measure the present province of security consciousness among the soldiers of Bangladesh Army with a position to happen a manner out to guarantee overall security of the organisation. Research Hypothesis 12.There is a common perceptual experience predominating among most of the officers that soldiers of Bangladesh Army are missing in security consciousness facet which in fact presenting a security menace to the organisation. There could be figure of causes lending to the organisational security. Among those causes, absence of security consciousness is one of the of import and important 1. Patrice Lumumba â⬠Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo
Patrice Lumumba ââ¬â Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo Free Online Research Papers Patrice Ãâ°mery Lumumba was born on July 2nd 1925, and was assassinated January 17th 1961. Lumumba was an African anti-colonial leader and the first legally elected Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo. He was elected because he helped to win its independence from Belgium in June 1960. Only ten weeks later, Lumumbas government was deposed in coup during the Congo Crisis. He was subsequently imprisoned and assassinated under controversial circumstances. In my opinion, Patrice Lumumba served as a great martyr for the Congolese people. According to dictionary.com, a martyr is a person who is put to death or endures great suffering on behalf of any belief, principle, or cause: a martyr to the cause of social justice. As shown is the movie, Lumumba fought for what he believed in. He sacrificed many things to accomplish freedom for the Congo. Lumumba was not afraid to challenge white supremacy and denounce the oppressive way Europeans treated Africans. One thing I noticed in the movie was that Lumumba was very family oriented and cared a lot not just for his family, but his followers also. As I said above, Lumumba was elected Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo in June 1960. Sixty-seven days after he came to power, Patrice Lumumba was dismissed by state president Joseph Kasa-Vubu. Lumumba was placed under informal house arrest at the prime ministers residence. UN troops were positioned around the house to ââ¬Å"protectâ⬠him. After he was arrested, Lumumba made the decision to escape out of his residence at night in a visiting diplomats car. Mobutus troops were in hot pursuit, they followed him. At this point in the movie, a Congolese civilian stopped Lumumbaââ¬â¢s vehicle and warned him that Mobutuââ¬â¢s troops were very close behind. He was told to ââ¬Å"Get off the main roadâ⬠, so they decided to cross the Sankuru River. The scene in the movie shows Lumumba looking back at his family, with terror in his eyes. From the expression on his face you can tell he wonââ¬â¢t be seeing his wife and family ever again after that day. He was captured that day near the Sankuru River by soldiers loyal to Colonel Mobutu. Lumumba was then transported on January 17, 1961, from the military prison in Thysville near Leopoldville to a ââ¬Å"more secureâ⬠prison in Jadotville in the Katanga Province. There were reports that Lumumba and his fellow prisoners, Maurice Mpolo and Joseph Okito, were beaten by provincial police upon their arrival in secessionist Katanga. Lumumba and his fellow prisoners were taken into the woods and shot one by one. The guards tied them to a tree and shot them. As they dragged his followers, they resisted. All but one. Lumumba walked himself to the tree, and immediately pressed his back against the tree. He was not afraid to die for what he believed in. It wasnââ¬â¢t enough that these three men were shot and killed; they were cut into pieces and then burned. There is no evidence of their death and no ashes. One thing I learned from this film is that Lumumba had faith that his message would live on after his death. This is very hard to believe, especially when he was treated so badly by Mobutu and his army. Audio Crossover Circuits Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
Audio Crossover Circuits - Essay Example Analysis of first order crossover The first order cross over circuits is designed with the use of passive components, which include the resistors, capacitors as well as inductors. The passive components are used in conditioning the signal to obtain a specific result. The components are useful in the analysis and control of the signal. There are a number of designs of the circuits that is sued to condition the audio output of the circuits. Different configurations of the first order circuits have different results in terms of signal conditioning. In the audio crossover circuits, the circuits are specific to a selected frequency range, thereby introducing the elements of damping and rectification among others. The first configuration of the first order cross over audio circuits involves the use of a capacitor as the conditioner of the signal fed in the circuit. The capacitor plays a huge role in the circuit for it acts as a voltage regulator by storing charge. It stabilizes the voltage that is passed within the circuit. The speaker that is used in the circuit is represented as an inductor. The use of a speaker in signal conversion must involve the consideration of the inductance that is created by the use of a coil in the speaker design. The characteristics of the capacitor as what that govern the operation of the circuit. In this case, the capacitor characteristics when a voltage (V) is applied at the terminals of the capacitance in series with the inductor results to a particular waveform, which indicates the frequency, voltage, and gain patterns that are associated with the circuit. The graph above shows how the capacitor influences the audio crossover circuit. From the graph, a change in the frequency results to a change in the response of the capacitor after a specific sharp spike. The input voltage as well as the frequency of the circuit indicates that there is a break point that the circuit has to follow so as to get the most out of the circuit. The charac teristic of the graph shows that the capacitor has an optimal value under which performance is at its peak. These elements of the capacitor are of great necessity in the operations of the circuit for they determine the inputs as well as the outputs of the given design. In this circuit, the curve after the peak is as a result of the increasing conductivity that is associated with a time based charge supply across the capacitor terminals. In the second configuration of the first order audio cross over circuit, the capacitor is supported by the addition of a resistor in parallel with the speaker. In the circuit, the use of the resistor in parallel to the speaker acts as a form of damper and thus conditioning the signal in the circuit by damping. The inductor provides some resistance in operation, which is known as impedance, which in electronics is regarded as imaginary resistance in an inductor. Some of the current in the system passes through the resistor, which branches from the cur rent directed, to the speaker. The voltage across the speaker and the resistor in the system remains the same, but the resistor helps in dissipation of any residual current that the circuit might operate. In this scenario, spikes that might be associated with inconsistency with the power supply can be resolved by the use of the

Changes in House prices in UK over the Last Three Years Essay
Changes in House prices in UK over the Last Three Years - Essay Example This was a very big challenge for citizens to purchase houses. It happens in that; the demand for houses has gone up from Q1 to Q2, but the quantity supplied has not changed and remains stable at Q1. This means the number of houses available in the market is minimal than the number of houses the buyers are willing and able to buy. This created a shortage for the houses, which is the difference between Q2 and Q1. According to supply and demand theory, when demand is high and supply is low, the sellers tend to increase the price of a commodity from P1 to P2. In the short run, supply in the house market is inelastic. Therefore, the increased demand translates to an increase in the prices of houses. The increase in prices results from the fact that the supply (Q1) of houses is not equal to the demand (Q2) of houses and this causes disequilibrium in the market (Higson, 2011: 81). However, the prices of houses in the long run have gone down. Several factors cause the decrease of the house prices. One of the factors leading to decrease in prices is that the government has ensured that interestââ¬â¢s rates of getting a loan are very low. This has encouraged investors to obtain mortgage loans at relatively low interest rate. This implies that they are able to refund the money with very little amounts of interest. Therefore, supply of houses has gone up within the period. When supply increases, the price of the houses go down since the supply exceeds demand. On the other hand, deposit rates of a mortgage have been high, and this leads to a decreased demand. As a result, there has been excess supply in the house market. Another factor that has led to the decreased demand of houses f or the last three years is that the rate of unemployment has gone up. Reduced interest rates have resulted to losses in the financial institutions. These institutions have to lay off some of their employees. Therefore, many people end up losing their jobs and this increase the rate of unemployment. This increases the number of people without the ability to pay the high mortgage deposits (Vermeulen, 2003:37). This means that the number of capable buyers of houses has reduced. As a result, the demand for houses decreased yet the supply of houses increased form Q1 to Q2, yet the able buyers remain Q1 who are less as compared to the supply. Therefore, because of an increase in the unemployment rates, this is a cause of low demand in the house market. According to the demand and supply theory, when the supply increases and demand decreases, the price of a commodity falls from P1 to P2. Another factor that has led to falling of the house prices in UK is issuing of residues to investors in the house market. This has encouraged investors to build more houses hence increasing the supply of the houses. Increase in supply is subject to a reduced demand and a decrease in the house prices (Geyer, 2009:138). This increases the loss made by financial institutions because residues discourage investors from borrowing from the lending institutions. Finally, lenders continue making more losses. This leads to a high rate of unemployment when the companies continue making losses. All these discussed factors leading to the reduced prices are crucial and have relatively led to a decreased demand (Geyer, 2009:139). In the coming years, the prices of houses will continue going down. The reasons for the low prices are that people will continue losing their jobs, and this will reduce demand for houses in UK. However, though the mortgage finances availability

Project Management and Internal Function Essay Example for Free
Project Management and Internal Function Essay The HRIS project is necessitated by two factors which support our business needs. One of these factors is the need to keep up with the demand for our product within the marketplace. The second factor is actualizing a business that works as hard for its employees as hard as the employees have worked for the business. Our business has increased by two fold in the last 18 months, which means that we must create a new way of doing business. As a result of this growth, we had to revamp the financial system, which has actualized its contribution through showing up as time savings achieved through automation. As a result of implementing the financial system, we received our return on investment six months earlier than anticipated. How does it get any better than that? It is with the same dedication that the HRIS project is being given life and endorsed by the stakeholders, which support this project. Description As a result of this growth, we have just completed the transition of incorporating the financial system and it has been a smashing success. This new growth demands of us that we do business a little differently now. It is our intent through this project to improve the employeesââ¬â¢ workplace and space in addition to addressing the changes that come about from expansion. There has been a marked and appreciable demand for our products over the last two years. As a result of this growth, we now require a better way of doing business. The HRIS project will take an outside and inside approach in order to create the space for transition and a better way of doing business. The approximate savings through this project would be actualized within the two quarters alone. Objective The objective for this project supports our goal of achieving a more robust production environment for our customers in addition to providing a better environment for future growth for our employees. It is our intent to support this project in the following ways: 1. Payroll will be automated and this will produce a faster and easier way for the employees to be reimbursed or to make changes to the auto pay options. 2. Our employees will be in a better position to pursue and create a career track for them that aligns with their own goals. 3. The HRIS process will allow for more transparency in hiring for those on the outside. 4. Potential employees will be able to see and apply for open positions. 5. Management will be in a better position to ensure that the potential applicants are well-qualified. 6. Additional funding now available from the implementation of the financial system can fund more research and projects to improve the workplace. Success Criteria or Expected Benefits The success criteria came from the various stakeholders and sponsors. The CEO of the company, Rory Genhardt, commissioned a project manager to spearhead the HRIS project. The project manager conducted several interviews of various stakeholders and sponsors in order to obtain measurable project objectives. The reports disseminated will include information gathered from the individual SMEs. It is this information that was used to present information to the stakeholders, sponsors and participants through reports, presentations, written, verbal and oral communications. The expert judgment provided by these various individuals was invaluable. They are outlined for the HRIS project as targets. Specifically identified from the various stakeholders of the expected benefits of the implementation of this project are the ââ¬Å"recruiting capabilitiesâ⬠and ââ¬Å"succession planningâ⬠for the CEO. Per the HR Director, ââ¬Å"vacation and sick time and sick leave linked to attendance instead of years of servicesâ⬠, in addition to ââ¬Å"tracking of certification and education requirementsâ⬠would be a benefit from the implementation. The VP of Marketing would receive benefit from the ââ¬Å"employee database and the e-formsâ⬠. The VP of Finance would be appreciative of the ââ¬Å"payroll capabilitiesâ⬠. The cause of this unorthodox method of operation is corporate downsizing. With the increased use of automation (The use of robots) and technology within factories and the ââ¬Å"business mindâ⬠to lower ones overhead within other industries is a major factor in the cut of jobs. Today organizations tend to function in a matrix structure, which does not focus on one person with specialization in a job but focuses on multiple employees handling a number of different tasks and reporting to many individuals, as described by FORTUNE magazine. ââ¬Å"Is this how job opportunities look for a recent college graduatesâ⬠was the thought in my mind as I struggle to progress forward in my studies. FORTUNE magazine explains ââ¬Å"with the demise of jobs that everyone faces comes unfamiliar risks as well as rich opportunities. That statement is true as well. If one is placed into a situation where he or she does not have a job that individual now has the endless opportunity to work just as hard or harder for themselves as they would the ââ¬Å"corporationâ⬠.
